A leading Central Indiana manufacturing enterprise is looking for an experienced, hands-on, business savvy Controller to become a member of the organization.
We are looking for a strong, driven accounting and finance professional to handle multiple profit centers. This hands-on position reports directly to the VP Finance/CFO. The qualified candidate will not only excel at financial processes, but will also master the ERP system currently in place.

The candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Proven experience in general Corporate Accounting, with strong background in manufacturing accounting is required.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Job Costing Experience in a service-type industry highly desired
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA desired)
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills. Stress-resistant—able to manage in a
    dynamic, fast growing environment.
  • An understanding of IT systems, applications and implementation
  • Superior computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing system
    and forms
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • A team player attitude
  • Have a critical attention to detail.

  • Have an ability to see the entire financial picture
  • Enjoy directing, coaching, and managing staff

General Duties to include (but not limited to):
  • Provide complete and accurate financial statements in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the cash flow: responsible for collections, paying vendors and
    eliminating late fees.
  • Responsible for both the accounts receivable and accounts payable
    functions: manage and train related personnel.
  • Responsible for time and material billing, to be completed no later than 48
    hours following service.
  • Responsible for managing accounting staff and executing all day-to- day
    finance and accounting procedures.
  • Generate meaningful, daily, performance and production measures for all
    direct reports.
  • Provide complete and accurate job cost sampling and compare to budget.
  • Evaluate, interpret and analyze the financial data and compile into clear
    and meaningful reports – both qualitative and quantitative – for
  • Exhibit complete understanding of the financial statements and
    communicate clearly the results to ownership.
  • Provide reporting and monitoring for the sales staff, including verifying
    the commission schedules.
  • Responsible for preparing the budgets and tracking actual results versus
    the budget outline.
  • Develop and maintain tax and regulatory compliance calendar.
  • Develop and institute necessary internal controls in accordance with the
    size of the company and adjusting for growth as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain tax and regulatory compliance calendar.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the manufacturing plant
  • Heavily involved in materials COGS inventory management.
  • Involved in the risk management process
  • Involved in asset management and property leases.
  • Maintain depreciation schedule.
  • Involved in sales tax management within several states.
