Mitigation and Demolition Technician

NWA Restore It Inc, in Centerton, AR has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented Mitigation and Demolition Technician. 

Duties entail water extraction, drying, mold remediation, bio-hazard clean-up and demolition in residential and commercial structures damaged by fire, water, mold, bio-hazard or storm damage. Construction experience is a plus. Must be able to lift 75 – 100 lbs routinely, not be afraid to get dirty and have the ability the work standing for long periods of time. Good computer and iPhone skills required. Xactimate or DASH experience preferred, but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have a background in water and/or fire damage mitigation but we will train the right candidate.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Be part of a team assisting home and business owners that have experience water or fire loss or damage to their home or business, usually on an emergency basis
  • Must be able to be on-call on a rotating basis on nights and weekends
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, to assist clients in a professional manner.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Detail oriented, hands on, and a team player.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while providing excellent service to our clients with integrity and passion.
  • Customer service orientated with the ability to deal with customers under any/all situations.
  • Be able to bring an upbeat, energetic, “can-do” attitude to work every day.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Desire to work way up through the Company
  • Experience in the Fire and Water Restoration industry is preferred but not required.

Requirements:
 
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Clean DMV record; possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
  • MUST be comfortable climbing a ladder, walking on roofs and tarping roofs with a 6:12 pitch or less, in an emergency and/or on-call basis. 
  • Previous OSHA training regarding ‘Fall Prevention’ a plus.
  • Be able to be on-call on a rotating schedule of nights and weekends (usually one week a month)

Hours are generally 8-5, M-F (plus on-call rotation) but vary depending on jobs and emergencies we have.
Salary: $12.00-$18.00/hour to start depending on experience.
