Software Tester

A full-time Software Tester is needed to work in the Indianapolis, Indiana facility of a leading edge innovator and manufacturer battery powered APU's.  Reporting to the Software Test Team Lead the successful candidate will develop, plan and test product software to ensure compliance to the specification and requirements on target hardware and systems.

Some of the duties for this position include:

  • Work with Project and Product Managers, throughout the development lifecycle to negotiate schedules; implement releases tests into production: deal with emergency and escalation processes: and manage and report defects and quality status.
  • Work with Senior Management to establish and implement standards and best practices for test development, version control and execution.
  • Work in diverse team responsible for producing manual and automated tests and test plans, executing them, reporting the results and maintaining an extensive test environment for system compatibility tests.
  • Participates in Change Control meetings with stakeholders to facilitate improvements, changes or production issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in an engineering discipline required. Minimum of 3 years experience in a high technology company preferred. The successful candidate must have experience in Product Development. Experience with software testing and working knowledge of automated testing tools required. The successful candidate must possess parallel development/testing experience.
Successful candidates must possess strong analytical, communication, computer, problem-solving, and planning and customer skills.
