A Northern Indiana business systems consulting company is currently seeking a Consultant.  The company offers a complete line of software solutions including Sage, Epicor, and SaaS (Software as a Service).   The qualified candidate will experience the challenge and satisfaction of working with other team members on various internal and client initiatives.  The opportunity to learn, participate and impact key areas of the business, including ERP implementation projects, client-consulting projects, and internal improvement projects will be a major part of the position.  Consulting work is delivered remotely and on-site.  They are a knowledge transfer firm.  They deliver solutions and teach customers to own and leverage their ERP solution.  Travel is primarily in the Great Lakes region.


 Primary Roles
 
  • ERP Implementation: participate in a value-added consulting role in the implementation of EPICOR and Sage ERP solutions that will include project planning, discovery, design, configuration, user training, and rollout support
  • Focus on financial and cost accounting along with inventory management and distribution.
  • Crystal Report and Dashboard Development: design, develop, test and deliver custom business reports and dashboard views
  • Application Support: immersion into Sage and EPICOR ERP applications –with the intent to further the firm’s knowledge
  • Technical Support: answer customer’s application support questions and resolve software support issues
  • Software Upgrades: become an expert in the installation and upgrade of Sage and EPICOR software application. 
  • Work as the financial accounting lead for new implementations and work with existing customers on training and ongoing support needs.


Qualifications
 
  • BA in accounting. CPA firm experience a plus.
  • Previous accounting experience a plus.  Cost accounting or experience as accountant in manufacturing desirable.
  • Ability to work in small, close knit culture. 
  • Ability to work well with others on group projects with the client and team members.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good active listening skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations within the Great Lakes region – mostly day travel – but overnight and multiple day trips are not uncommon.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project tasks.  Some project tasks need to be completed in the evenings or weekends.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Prior experience implementing accounting or ERP systems beneficial.  Experience with database tools such as Microsoft SQL or Access beneficial.  Experience with report tools such as Crystal Reports beneficial.
  • Very comfortable with software, PCs, applications, etc..
