Journeyman Plumber

Job Duties: include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Digging
  • Soldering
  • Rough-in; reading blue prints and specification sheets
  • Accurate use of a tape measure
  • Good knowledge of basic math, including fractions
  • Knowledge of current Indiana plumbing code
  • Copper, PVC, CPVC, surname pex system installations
  • Sanitary systems and venting
  • Ability to perform tub sets (cast iron and steel), and second rough-ins
  • Shower pan installations
  • Proper heights, strapping and support of stub-outs
  • Proper sealing of all openings (rodent proof)
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting
  • Installation of fixtures
  • Testing procedures of completed work (ensuring work passes inspections)
  • Thorough clean-up of job site
  • Any reasonable task assigned by supervisor or management

To be considered for this exceptional career opportunity you must have at least the following:
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years minimum experience within the new construction plumbing industry
  • Knowledge of current Indiana plumbing code
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and national background check
  • Must have own basic set of hand tools
  • Journeyman plumber in the new construction field is highly desired
