Residential Interior Designer

Our client, Advantage Design + Remodel located in New Berlin, WI is currently seeking a Residential Interior Designer.  This is a demanding yet very rewarding position with an award-winning residential design-build remodeling firm specializing in high-end, client-centric remodeling projects. You would be joining a team of passionate individuals who have a shared mission; to help clients LOVE WHERE THEY LIVE while providing a superior client experience.. 

The Interior Designer will partner with the Lead Designer and other members of the team using their intuition and creativity to produce beautiful and functional designs personalized to individual clients. They should be able to provide recommendations confidently, staying abreast of new products and industry trends while implementing them in designs when appropriate, and understand how to go the extra mile for our client to increase our value by providing them with better-than-expected service.

Responsibilities & Duties Include:
  • Learn and utilize Chief Architect to its fullest potential to help create professional and stunning designs for clients
  • Assist with assigned As-Built Measurements for clients in Concept or Detail Design.
  • Create floor plans (As-Built & Proposed), elevations, tile layout, electrical plan and final plan drawings.
  • Attend Client Selection Meetings & Additional Design Meetings
  • Make suggestions based on clients pain points, desires for the space and lifestyle.
  • Communicate with and assist clients with selection of materials in correlation to project while cross-referencing estimates to ensure project stays in budget.
  • Know where to shop for various materials and how to express differences in various products to clients.
  • Assemble samples of finishes selected.
  • Create design presentations to review with clients.
  • Track selection and ordering process to make sure products are ordered correctly and delivered on time.
  • Maintain a well organized selection room and rotate fresh new samples regularly for display
  • Meet with prospective clients to discuss the possibilities and/or feasibility of their design ideas.
  • Bachelor' s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
  • 2 +years’ experience in new build and/or renovation Interior Design full life projects
  • Present a professional image
