Residential Landscape Account Manager

Midwest Landscape Industries located in Indianapolis, Indiana has an immediate need for a Residential Landscape Account Manager.  The Residential Landscape Account Manager will expertly manage and develop long term relationships with our residential customers to ensure that we exceed their quality and service expectations at their property. This position will be a client liaison for MLI through outstanding service, ensuring that clients' needs are met, creating high customer retention, identify appropriate enhancement needs and opportunities while helping the company to achieve revenue goals.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage assigned residential maintenance accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, service and strengthen residential maintenance client relationships.
  • Understand and drive the implementation of all MLI quality standards.
  • Oversee all interaction with clients and use proactive communication to keep clients informed.
  • Provide proactive site quality reviews and communicate assessments internally and externally if necessary.
  • Conduct regular site walks, in an effort to keep each site looking its best; to identify, design and implement new enhancement opportunities that maintain the original landscape design intent; and to maximize sales.
  • Protect clients’ landscape investment by identifying maintenance related issues on client properties and work with the various company departments to implement solutions.
  • Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion.
  • Work with cross-functional internal teams (including Irrigation and Maintenance Operations Manager) to improve the entire customer experience.
  • Develop, maintain, service and strengthen residential maintenance client relationships.
  • Prepare and submit yearly contract renewals of your client portfolio within your assigned territory.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • An outgoing personality with an ethical and trustworthy approach for establishing long term client relationship.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple account management projects at a time.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong plant identification and knowledge.
  • Solid experience with CRM software, (Asset, Windows, XP and Microsoft Office)  
  • Irrigation experience not necessary, but a bonus.
  • Sense of humor is a plus!
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to communicate easily and proficiently both written and verbally.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in horticulture, landscape horticulture, agronomy.
  • Business background or sales experience a plus.
